Who should attend?

Our 1-day Level 2 Workplace Health And Safety course is an excellent introduction to health and safety in the workplace and will benefit all employees, particularly those who may be accepting a health and safety role, such as a safety representative within their organisation.
It ensures that delegates are complying with all relevant legislative guidance and covers essential areas of health and safety, including risk assessments, making certain that delegates are able to maintain a safe working environment.
Successful candidates will be awarded a national Level 2 (Level 5 in Scotland) Workplace Health And Safety qualification which will provide an ideal platform to higher level training or career development.

- This course is designed for managers, supervisors, business owners, and anyone responsible for health and safety for small and medium-size businesses.

In 2022-2023, 135 workers were killed in UK workplaces.
In addition to the tragic loss of life and personal suffering, employers found themselves faced with court fines and costs, increased insurance premiums, compensation claims, reduced productivity, damaged reputation and low staff morale.
This qualification will help avoid such consequences.

Course Overview

This 1-day classroom-based course will introduce delegates to their roles and responsibilities under the current Health and Safety legislation, as well as looking at a wide range of topics around compliance, understanding and controlling risks and incidents and accident management.
This course will take at least 6 hours to complete. These hours will be delivered in 1 day.
This qualification does not expire, but refresher training and keeping up to date with changes to policies and procedures is vital to keep the qualification current.

The course Instructor is responsible for determining whether delegates pass or fail based on practical and oral assessment throughout the course, i.e. by observation and oral questioning, as well as the completion of a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course.
The instructor will only award a pass if they believe that delegates have displayed the requisite understanding and competencies at the end of each session throughout the course and successfully completed the question paper.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 2 national qualification, (Level 5 in Scotland), will be issued to the learner, subject to successfully completing the test paper.
This course is Regulated by Ofqual under their Regulated Quality Framework (RQF) and accredited by the FAA.
