Course Introduction

Who should attend?

This half-day, practical refresher course is designed for anyone who has previously either completed the three-day First Aid at Work, or one-day Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications.
Employers are legally required to ensure their First Aiders are competent and maintain their skills throughout the three years in which their certificates are valid.
This three-hour refresher course provides First Aiders with an opportunity to practise and update their skills as a qualified First Aider, at any time while their First Aid certificate is valid.
The syllabus for this Emergency First aid at Work course is as specified by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and is fully compliant with The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

- This course is for people holding a current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.

Course Overview

This course is for people holding a current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.
This course will take at least 3 hours to complete. These hours will be delivered in half a day.
We can tailor our way of teaching to the requirements of your workplace so that you get the most relevant and vital information and maybe even new and updated methods of treating injuries in your workplace.
There will be practical scenarios throughout and the opportunity to discuss key points of interest within your business with the instructor.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommends that you attend Annual First Aid Refresher Training once every year during this three-year period.
This should be provided in the years when a First Aider is not initially qualifying or re-qualifying.

• Accident recording and reporting	• Shock
• Assess the situation in an emergency	• First aid kits and avoiding cross infection

This course is not certified. It is designed to keep your existing First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work skills and confidence refreshed.
The course does not renew First Aid certificates or extend the validity period of certificates.
You will receive a record of your annual refresher training.
