Who should attend?

 

  • Our one-day Level 3 Oxygen Therapy Administration course provides comprehensive training to enable users to administer oxygen safely and effectively, for casualties with breathing difficulties.
  • Delegates will learn how and when to administer oxygen to a casualty and the safety concerns with carrying, storing and administering it.
  • The syllabus for this course meets the HSE and Resuscitation Council (UK) training recommendations.

  • This course is suitable for those working in an environment where oxygen is available for casualty welfare.
  • This could be qualified First Aiders, Emergency First Aiders, Dental Practitioners and Dental Care Professionals, Nurses, Healthcare Professionals etc.
  • You must have a current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate to attend.

Course Overview

  • This training enables users to administer oxygen safely and effectively, for casualties with breathing difficulties.
  • Delegates will learn how and when to administer oxygen to a casualty and the safety concerns with carrying, storing and administering it.

  • The syllabus for this course meets the HSE and Resuscitation Council (UK) training recommendations.

  • This course will take at least 6 hours to complete.  These hours will be delivered in 1 day

  • The course Instructor is responsible for determining whether delegates pass or fail based on practical and oral assessment throughout the course, i.e. by observation and oral questioning, as well as the completion of a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course.
  • The instructor will only award a pass if they believe that delegates have displayed the requisite understanding and competencies at the end of each session throughout the course and successfully completed the question paper.
  • On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 3 (RQF) Oxygen Therapy Administration Certificate, which is valid for three years.
  • This course is Regulated by Ofqual under their Regulated Quality Framework (RQF) and accredited by the FAA.
  • Annual refresher training is also recommended by the HSE, as this provides Oxygen Therapy Administrators with an opportunity to practise and update their skills at any time while their First Aid or Emergency First Aid At Work certificates are valid.
