The Matrix Standard Accreditation
The matrix Standard is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG), either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering.
Any organisation which manages, administers and delivers an information, advice and/or guidance service to support individuals in their choice of career, learning, work or life goals can become accredited to the matrix Standard. It does not matter whether the service or services are delivered face-to-face, through training, learning, remotely, or through a website.
Organisations that have benefited from working with the Standard include Training Providers, Universities, Further/Higher Education Colleges, Schools and Academies, Sole Traders, Next Step Providers, Voluntary and Community Organisations and Private Businesses.
The matrix Standard is owned by the Department for Education and is managed by The Growth Company on their behalf.
How do we achieve this accreditation?
We are audited every 3 years, during a 2-day long face-to-face audit by a Matrix Assessort.
During this time, the assessor speaks to all our staff, and a selection of our delegates, delivery partners and customers, so they can independantly verify the actively that takes place on site. Following our first review in July 2025, in which we met the standard at the first attempt, we will have annual reviews to ensure that we continue to meet these very high standards constantly across the business. Accreditation is only granted when the criteria are met in the following areas:
- IAG contributes to the achievement of the organisation’s aims
- Resources invested enable the delivery of high-quality IAG
- There is a clear description of the IAG on offer and this is promoted to those who may access it
- IAG is delivered to support progress and enable transitions
- There is a clear understanding of the difference IAG is making to those recipients
- There is a clear understanding of the intended and actual impact of the IAG delivered
- All aspects of IAG planning and delivery are subject to ongoing review and evaluation
All our courses are regulated by ABA (Accredited Bodies Association) or Ofqual, so you can be assured of a consistant high quality of training.
But beyond that, we aim to reassure all learners with us that we are dedicated to providing you with not just the skills that can really make a difference to your career aspirations, but also a learning experience to remember.
