Course Introduction
Who should attend?
- Our Lift Truck Instructor Re-Reg 5 day (Standard) course is designed for currently qualified or recently expired (within the last 24 months) RTITB Lift Truck Instructors who need to refresh their qualification and renew their registration.
- The 5 day course will remind you how to carry out RTITB Lift Truck Operator training, using interactive guided theory, discussion and practice.
- It reminds candidates to cater for the needs of their learners both in and out of the training room and provides them with any new developments to the course materials.
- You will need to provide proof of successful completion of the refresher eTruck eLearning course within 36 months of the course start date.
- You will also need to provide your RTITB Registration Number or RTITB Lift Truck Instructor Certificate (current or expired within the last 24 months).
- If your Instructor qualification has expired more than 24 months ago, then you will be treated as a Novice candidate and will need to attend a 10-day course.
- Currently qualified or recently expired (within the last 24 months) RTITB Lift Truck Instructors looking to refresh their qualification and renew their registration
- If you are very experienced, highly competent instructor, who is employed primarily as an instructor, and is therefore delivering training frequently, you may be better suited to our accelerated 3-day course

Course Overview
- • Training Techniques: Remind yourself of the effective methods for delivering engaging and safe forklift training. • Regulations & Compliance: Refresh your understanding of current forklift safety regulations and best practices. • Assessment Skills: Hone the art of assessing and certifying operators in line with RTITB standards. • Practical Forklift Training: Improve your instructional techniques through hands-on forklift operation scenarios. • This course will take 5 days to complete

The examination components are:
- In-class Lesson Delivery Test (assessed during course)
- Associated Knowledge Test (assessed during course)
- Practical Instructional Ability Test (assessed on examination day)
- Professional Discussion (assessed on examination day)
- Upon successful completion, you will receive the RTITB Forklift Instructor Certificate, valid for 5 years
- Successful candidates will be re-registered on the RTITB Register of Professional Instructors.
