We’re proud to be supporting National Mental Health Awareness Week, which runs from 15th May – 21st May 2023. This annual event organised by the Mental Health Foundation (the UK’s leading charity on mental health), aims to raise awareness and encourage us all to talk about our mental health.
Our mental health impacts every part of our lives, and therefore naturally impacts us both at home and at work. Did you know:
25% of people have left their job due to Mental Health issues
68% of people feel that their employer should be doing more to address Mental Health issues at work
40% of people have taken a day or longer off work due to Mental Health issues
20% of people say that their company has a Mental Health wellbeing policy that they know about
25% of people feel their workplace is contributing negatively to their mental wellbeing
One in four of us will experience a mental illness in their lifetime, so this is happening all around us. Would you be able to spot the signs of someone close to you if they were struggling? Would you know what to do to support them?
We’re running a one-day Mental Health First Aid course on Wednesday 24th May which will teach you just that. It is designed to help employers provide a positive culture within the workplace and to provide learners with the knowledge to both identify and act on mental health conditions, should they be suspected.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 2 (RQF) First Aid for Mental Health at Work Certificate, which is valid for three years. This course is Regulated by Ofqual under their Regulated Quality Framework (RQF) and accredited by the FAA.
For every booking on the course, we’ll donate 10% of the booking value to the Mental Health Foundation, and each successful learner will also get a Mental Health Foundation green ribbon pin badge.

Did you know it’s Mental Health Awareness week next month?
Running from 15th – 21st May 2023, the week is an annual event, organised by the Mental Health Foundation (the UK’s leading charity on mental health) and the theme for this year is anxiety.
It is designed to encourage us all to think about mental health, tackle stigma, and find out how to create a society that protects our mental wellbeing.
This year, Mental Health Awareness Week coincides with Learning at Work Week 2023, so there is no better time to ensure that you and your business know what to do when someone you know or work with needs your help.
We’re running a Mental Health First Aid course on Wednesday 24th May, which is designed to help employers to provide a positive Mental Health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common Mental Health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.
We’re proud to support this cause, because if you’ve ever suffered with your mental health, then you know how important good support is, and good support starts with good training.
There are still a few places available on our next Telehandler course, running w/c 17th April 2023.
Our Rough Terrain Telescopic Handler Truck course is available for anyone who would like this highly sought after qualification.
This course is the first step you need to take in order to gain your CPCS card (Construction Plant Competence Scheme). The CPCS card shows that the holder has the training and skills required to operate plant within the UK’s construction industry.
Our RTITB certificate gives you the first part of your journey towards this and enables you to then go on to book the remaining elements, such as HS&E testing and the vehicle screen test, through your local test centre.
For more information about the course and pricing, please see our website.
If you’d like to go ahead and start your journey towards this exciting opportunity, please contact us on 01793 975353 or Rachel.gearon@keyperformancetraining.co.uk and we’ll confirm your place.
Five years ago, on 12th March 2018, we proudly completed our very first training courses, a Counterbalance and Reach truck refresher for one person. Since then, we’ve gone on to help a further 504 people achieve another 709 certificates in a huge variety of courses, across the regulated training spectrum!
We’ve helped 67 businesses and charities ensure they are meeting their legal obligations and we’ve helped 171 private individuals gain new certificates and keep their own certification and qualifications up to date.
But more than that, we hope we’ve made a real difference along the way. By working closely with some charities and agencies, we’ve been able to help people who have found themselves in a tough spot and just need a little help to lift them back up.
It’s been an absolute pleasure and a privilege working alongside the people we’ve worked with over the last five years, and we hope that if you’ve attended a course with us, we’ve been able to make your working life just that little bit more enjoyable, or we’ve played our part in giving you a helping hand just when you needed it.
